 Mechanism
of Action
It is a non-benzodiazepine sedative drug belonging to the imidazopyridine
class. It preferentially binds to omega -1 receptors. The selective

Pharmaco Kinetics
It is absorbed rapidly from the Gl tract, oral bioavailability is
about 70%. It is eliminated almost entirely by conversion to inactive

Half-life for 5 mg tablet is 2.6 hours and 10 mg tablet is 2.5 hours.
Half-life is increased in cirrhotics. It has PPB of 92.5%.
